Etsy Day!

All my purchases from Etsy seemed to arrive in yesterday's mail. So it seemed only natural to start selling for myself on Etsy last night. I don't have many pieces yet, but hope my time schedule will open up soon.

My only dilemma is I want to post the "snapshot" of my shop on my blog and am having a hard time figuring out the correct way to do it. I have been in Etsy under the "mini" option and have gotten to the point where you can copy the Javascript or Flash addresses. I am assuming I need the Javascript one, but then where to put it? I've been under "gadgets" in Blogger and tried pasting it in a few places. Help anyone???

Until I get this figured out, I am on Etsy under username peacockfairy.

Sounds like you were on the right track to me! Maybe try it again. Go to your Etsy page, click on Etsy Mini, choose your options. Copy all the text that appears in the javascipt version box. Go to your blog's page elements Layout page and click on Add A Gadget. Scoll down and choose the HTML/JavaScript one and paste the text code in the box and click save. That should work. That's all I did for mine!

Also you can create links to your shop page within your blog posts too! You can highlight a word or words in your post then click on the link button at the top in your toolbar section.(it looks like a link on a green circle)then type in the URL in the pop up box that appears. That will create a direct link straight to your shop or any website you want! Hope some of this helps you out!

or a screen shot might be what you want too.
I found a cool FREE software program download recently that was super duper easy to use.
