What's Next?

These are often the hardest months of the year..... once the holidays pass and it feels like Winter is never ending. I'm sure many are similar to me in that I'm always thinking about "what's next"? Done with something, got through something, achieved something, etc.... what is the next thing to focus on or plan for? I find that having things - no matter how big or small - to look forward to really keeps me going. You can probably guess from my heart patterned jacket, that Valentine's Day is on my radar. I've got a small amount of decor that I love putting up, and anyone with kiddos knows how excited they get to swap cute little cards/things (and that excitement gives me joy). And even though I've been married a long time, I need to make a better effort to still celebrate these type of holidays that used to mean the WORLD when the relationship is new (gosh, it's hard to remember those days sometimes). Anyway, I am a sucker for a unique coat/jacket and this one recently caught my eye a few months ago. I kept checking to see if there were any reviews, or size sellouts, to push me to get it - but nothing! When Modcloth marked it down and then put an extra 50% off on it, I decided to get it. I am really happy with it! It's more of a jacket weight (i.e. won't be the warmest Winter coat) which I don't mind because some days you don't want that bulky feeling. It was hard to tell in the pictures if the hearts were actually yarn, or printed onto the fabric. I am happy to report it's sort of both??? There is some dimension to them, but not so much that you'd be worried you'd be snagging it non-stop. It's almost like they are "felted" into the material.

Here's a link to it (Hutch Cozy To the Core Coat - Modcloth)

Like the style/colors, but not crazy about hearts? Hutch designed a very similar one for Anthropologie in a vine like design (Marion Embroidered Coat)
