Nancy actually just posted some glazes she was excited about on her blog yesterday! I have always been drawn to glazes when purchasing art...... and I remember the pottery classes I took in high school - I loved the unexpected surprise of the glaze the best! It's hard to give these colors justice in photos or description, but Mr. Peacock is a dusty cobalt blue with an undertone of a pinkish tan. While at Michael's last week for their half off sale, I picked up these ceramic rounds because they appealed to me. It was a lovely surprise when I got home and saw how wonderful they went with this pendant.
There were no other beads needed - let the glaze be the center of attention. I wire wrapped a simple necklace, and even attempted my first handmade wire clasp!

i bought the same beads!
Really beautiful necklace. The colors were made for each other.
that would be a good submission for this month's art bead scene challenge!!
I do so love what Nancy does with glaze! That is so special. I have held onto beads for years. My goal is to reduce that tendency this year! I love that it works so well with those beads from Michaels. Missed that sale, drats. Enjoy the day, Miss Peacock Fairy!

P.S. I was thinking the same thing as Lorelei. Enter that on ABS!
Wow, that is one beautiful necklace! I remember that peacock, believe it or not. The glaze came out very different than I expected (thought it would be more blue). It's a keeper! :)
It's perfect! I was loving on Nancy's glaze porn this week, too.
