I don't know about you, but I most always remember when and where I purchased my beads/jewelry supplies. It's kind of a fun way to see how long it takes you to use what you purchased. For instance, some things I have ideas for right away and will make immediately. Other times, something might hang around for several months - even years - before I am inspired.

I bought these Lillypilly pendants at Bead & Button last year. My intent always was to use them together in a piece, but when I got home and tried to dangle them on a chain for a necklace, my biggest complaint was they were too noisy as they clinked against one another. So, I put it aside. A few months ago, I had the idea to link them together for a bracelet - but since they only had one hole, I had to carefully use my little hand cranking drill to put a second hole in the delicate shells. The entire time I was just praying that none of them would crack!

Then I simply linked them together, and used some brown round shell beads on headpins in between and a Vintaj clasp. I LOVE how it turned out - I just LOVE the combination of different colors and patterns, but still with a consistent shape and shell theme. It just goes to show that quite often, designs will not go as you originally planned but something better will usually manifest.
As I prepare to go to Bead & Button on Saturday, I can now judge that it took me almost a year to use these pretty finds. But the wait was so worth it!

Love the design, its beautiful! I feel the same way about some of my beads. Its funny, sometimes, I wait too long, and cannot seem to remeber where I got them.
I fell like I went to Bead and Button with you- thanks for the lovely photos of favorite bead artists and your lovely stash additions!!
Heather,
Is this for sale? I looked in your Etsy shop and did not see it.
