Good luck on your upcoming exhibit!peacockfairyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03146229719855348612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6251621319104607726.post-88753040107743548732018-02-28T07:46:21.150-08:002018-02-28T07:46:21.150-08:00I call winter my "fallow season" because...I call winter my "fallow season" because I tend to cocoon into myself and spend a lot more time thinking. Then when the weather starts to get a bit brighter I tend to shed that self-imposed solitary confinement and find new avenues to explore. I have been reading books on freeform embroidery techniques, torn paper collage artistry, meaningful mixed media art and taking online courses in abstract painting and expression and adding text and words to art. I am also ready to burst forth to create for my upcoming art exhibit and feel a bit frazzled that I have yet to create hardly a thing, but I do feel a blend of all these disparate interests are about to intersect and intertwine. I do know that feeling that you are going through, and it is hard to square that with others who have things far worse (but that perspective is actually very healthy!). I also know that art heals, as it sounds like your blogging does for you. So keep absorbing the ideas and colors and textures and life and reflecting the good and light and love. Sending you hugs from across the Big Lake! So glad to see you again! Enjoy the day! ErinTesoriTrovatihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12771359288546654791noreply@blogger.com
