What a week! And it's not even over yet! Lots of changes over here, in addition to the daylight saving hour loss and burst of Spring-like weather.

First things first, how can losing just one hour affect you so, so much??? I have been dragging all week. I have that 'coming down with a cold' feeling although I know I am not (at least I hope not). I am chalking it up to the weather change tickling my sinuses. Also, being the sole source of nourishment for Carson is draining (no pun intended). Sometimes I feel so weary and worn. Sigh.

The upside to all of these things, as you probably already know if you follow any other fashion blogs, is this:

1. It's lighter out for longer so there is more time to take pictures! Hoorah!
2. It is more tolerable to take pictures outside! Pleasant even!

I know for me, those two things ALWAYS affect my blogging in the Winter.

It seems we always get this taste of weather, and everyone is all excited. In this part of the country, when the temps get into the 40's and 50's this time of year people are out in shorts and t-shirts. No joke. In other parts of the country that would still be considered quite cold! The grocery store is also sold out of any type of meat one might grill out. Everyone is all like, "Hell yeah! Grill out! Show some skin!"

And then next week when it is 20 again, it almost makes you even more angry. So I don't know what is best - to just have a taste of what's to come, or not to have it at all? I know I never go too extreme, but couldn't help pulling out some pastels today and ditching anything related to socks and boots.

Sooooo, other transitions? I am going back to work next week. I landed a job in our new area - another piece of our new life. After being out of work for almost 5 months, I am ready. I have really enjoyed my time with the boys - both good days and bad - and hope to write about all of that soon. The most important thing I've learned about myself is that I am a more productive person in my personal life when I am working. Nothing like putting in an honest 40 to motivate me (and my blogging). It does seem ironic that all of the things you daydream about doing while you were working don't really come to fruition when you do actually find yourself out of a job.

The boys tried out what will be their full-time daycare/school 2 days this week (it went well). Richard still went to the part-time preschool he has been going to (2 mornings a week) with today being his last day. Hair appointments, Carson's 4 month check-up, etc... all to be done. And for fun, we went to a new aquarium that opened up in Auburn Hills. Whew!

As I get back into blogging here, something else I want to write more about is my obsession with afghan/crochet sweaters. So that should be coming up. This vest is the first piece to show. I love the chevron pattern, and how it makes the edges scalloped. The color combo is pretty unique too.
 Unni Chevron Cardigan - Anthropologie
Matilda Jane long sleeved top - seen previously here
High Rise Jeggings - American Eagle
Read about my obsession with them here. (Seems I obsess about a lot of things).
These are no longer online because they were clearance - I think I paid about $14 for them. I've been a dark wash person for so long, but when I was pregnant I got a pair of maternity jeans in this color that were my absolute fav which you might remember because I wore them so much! So I had to find something as close to them as possible. I normally take a regular inseam, but these were shorts. I feel that they are the perfect ankle skimming length for spring/summer flats and sandals.
 Apt 9 Aviator sunglasses - Kohl's
Minnetonka Mocs - TJ Maxx
Let's talk about this necklace. It's the Tassel Wisp Necklace carried by Anthropologie last Spring. It retailed for $58. I found it at TJ Maxx for $14. You know how much I love these finds, just like this one!
Alright, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my week before I am officially employed again!

I've been dragging all week too but like you said, on the bright side, there is more daylight to take blog photos! I love the print and colors of your vest! Such a cute look to bring in spring!

Love this pretty boho look! And yeah, my hood would be where people would be wearing full length full coats and gloves and scarves and hats in 50 degree weather! It's 81 in San Jose today! But the weather will be up and down for awhile. Anyway, good luck with your new job! Thanks so much for linking up with Fun Fashion Friday!
